The Derringers Recipe:
Two parts young, talented and dynamic frontmen
Three parts experienced and solid country backing band
Equal parts volume
A pinch of twang
Shake, stir and enjoy with a cold one!
“An infectious concoction of rock and roll energy with a honky tonk vibe”
The Derringers was formed in early 2010 by brothers Chris (drums) and Kevin (lead guitar) in partnership with Fraser (bass/vox). Billed as the Joe Bones Band from 2010 to 2015, the band settled into a groove as a three piece unit playing boogie blues and classic rock tunes. Once the band began to find its voice, the setlist drifted into southern rock and outlaw country territory finally landing in new and classic country territory – while still giving a nod to classic rock – playing gigs at bars, festivals, private parties and fundraisers around Ottawa and the Valley.
Along the way, The Derringers have collaborated with many artists including Whiskey River (Reid Greenough and Tim Picard), DW James, Steve Cater, Gerry Doucette, Joe Brownrigg, Chris McGuire and Cathy Brown.
