Entries accepted at main hall on Thursday July 12, 2018 from 3-10pm

Exhibits are to be picked up on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 4-5pm

Tips for Exhibitors:

  • Each exhibit must be an individual exhibit, except school exhibits.
  • Any junior entering will compete in the grade in June 2018
  • Entries that do not meet the rules and regulations (ie. Size) will be disqualified.
  • Be sure and not re-enter articles from previous years.

Preschool

  1. Decorate a cookie on a base with icing and candies, using a red and white theme (cookies made or bought by a parent, approx. 3-6” in diameter)
  2. Make a table centerpiece using articles from nature glued to a solid base
  3. Make a flower out of egg cartons and decorate with any materials
  4. Picture taken from a colouring book (crayon)

Jr. & Sr. Kindergarten

  1. Make and decorate a crown, using a red and white theme
  2. A cut out paper snowflake
  3. Bumblebee made from egg cartons and decorate with any material
  4. Paper bag puppet “Grandma”, lunch bag size
  5. Printing, first name only (on lined paper)
  6. Picture created by tracing a hand or foot & adding to it, (8½” x11”)

Poster Competitions

  1.  Junior, up to and including GRADE 4
  2.  Intermediate, include GRADES 5 to 8 inclusive
  3.  Senior, include GRADES 9 to 12

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR LOCAL FAIR & DISTRICT COMPETITION:

  • Promoting ALMONTE FAIR, name and date of fair must be clearly shown on poster
  • Must be hand drawn
  • Poster size: minimum 8½”x11”,maximum 11” x17”, without border
  • Each entry must be centred on cardstock or Bristol board with a 2” border on all four sides.
  • Name of fair, district, contact person, owner, age, grade & school of poster to be clearly labeled on back of each entry.
  • Winning poster for each class will go to District II Meeting in October 2018 for judging.

66.    Carter Shows Midway Ride Special

Make a 3 dimensional midway ride using any material (e.g. model, Lego or paper). Max size 30cm x 45cm (12”x18”). Less than 15 years of age.

School Bus Safety Rules

  1. Stay seated while the bus is in motion.
  2. No loud or boisterous talking.
  3. Keep all of your body inside the windows.
  4. Do not throw any objects around in the bus.
  5. No fighting or swearing on the bus.
